Our team
Four dentists and a hygiene team who have looked after Kansas City families for more than a decade — and who still answer the phone themselves.
Dentists
Dentist & Practice Owner
Graduated UMKC School of Dentistry in 2009 and completed a general practice residency at Truman Medical Center. Maya founded the practice in 2011 with the simple idea that dental care should not feel clinical.
Dentist
Completed his DMD at UMKC and a four-year implant and oral surgery fellowship in Leawood. Daniel places the majority of the practice's implants and has placed more than 1,400 of them.
Dentist
A UMKC graduate with certification in clear aligner therapy and a reputation for working patiently with anxious and first-time patients.
Dentist
Joined the practice in 2019 after eight years in restorative dentistry. Priya leads our same-day emergency clinic and has a particular interest in same-day ceramic restorations.
Hygiene team
Lead Hygienist
Sarah has been with the practice since 2015 and is known for a genuinely gentle cleaning. She also runs our children's hygiene program.
Hygienist
Amara focuses on periodontal therapy and has a particular knack with patients who have not seen a dentist in a long time.
Beyond the chair
Bricktown Dental Studio has been on Westport Road since 2011. We opened because both founding dentists had spent years working in practices where a ten-minute appointment was the norm, and where nobody ever explained a price before handing over a treatment plan.
Dr. Ellison sits on the board of the Kansas City Dental Society’s charitable access committee, and the whole team runs free screening days each September through the Westport Chamber of Commerce.
